Terms of service

These terms are a starting template for a Palco deployment. Replace them with terms reviewed by your own counsel before taking real money.

1. The parties

Palco operates the platform. Each event is sold by the organizer named on the event page, who is the merchant of record for that sale and is responsible for delivering the event, honouring their stated refund policy, and handling admission at the door.

2. Buying tickets

A ticket is a revocable licence to attend a specific event. Placing an order holds inventory for a limited window; the order is only complete once payment is confirmed and tickets are issued. Each ticket admits one person once — a QR code that has already been scanned will be refused.

3. Fees

The ticket price is set by the organizer. A service fee, shown separately before you pay, may be added. Fees are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled.

4. Refunds and cancellations

Refunds follow the policy shown on the event page. If an organizer cancels an event, the order is refunded in full including fees. Refunded tickets are voided immediately and return to the organizer's available inventory.

5. Organizer obligations

Organizers warrant that they have the right to sell tickets for the events they list, that their listings are accurate, and that they will comply with applicable licensing, safety and consumer law at their venues.

6. Acceptable use

Do not resell tickets above face value where prohibited, script or automate purchases, attempt to duplicate ticket codes, or interfere with the platform's operation.

7. Liability

The platform is provided as-is. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
